Mindfulness and Meditation Workshop 1
Yoga Shoal is delighted to invite you to an inspirational workshop with Darren Cockburn, exploring the practice of mindfulness and meditation.

This one-day workshop is useful for (i) anyone new to mindfulness & meditation (ii) yoga students who are interested in deepening their practice (iii) teachers who are more experienced who wish to refresh their knowledge and boost their personal practice.

The workshop provides support with integrating mindfulness and meditation into daily life and explains the benefits and sometimes challenges that this can bring.

Darren is passionate about helping people live in the present moment and cultivate a peaceful mind – through books, the media and training. He believes that mindfulness teachings work well when they are practical, simple and clear.

His acclaimed spiritual books, Being Present and Living a Life of Harmony are published in the UK, US, Canada and across the rest of the world.

Darren’s first book Being Present has been personally endorsed by Esther Eckhart from EckhartYoga – the leading online yoga provider. His second book, Living a Life of Harmony and its 7 spiritual guidelines to cultivate peace and kindness have been personally endorsed by Steve Taylor – who is ranked the 20th most spiritually influential person in the world.

Darren has been nominated for Kindred Spirits 2019 Emerging Voices Award for those becoming a meaningful voice in the spiritual world.

Darren delivers local mindfulness training in Bournemouth, UK, and also gives talks, interviews, hosts national workshops, a mindfulness online training portal, and the Mindfulness Online Training podcast. If you would like to check this out, please see mindfulnessonlinetraining.org

After combining over two decades of his own practice with teaching experience in Buddhism, yoga and corporate environments, Darren is now offering mindfulness and meditation training to a wider audience. His training is based on a synthesis of Buddhism, yoga philosophy, the teachings of Eckhart Tolle and his own insights.

Your host for the day is me, Zoë English of Yoga Shoal – experienced yoga teacher and yoga therapist, teaching and practicing on the Manhood Peninsular in West Sussex. Passionate about expounding the benefits of yoga and its teachings, I will be giving insight into meditation from a yoga perspective and shedding some additional light on this helpful practice.
